About CA
CA teaches small grassroots nonprofit organizations financial oversight,
accounting, and bookkeeping services to ensure high standards of
financial management to help nonprofit organizations move into the
future.
CA's staff and volunteers strive to provide the following services
to help build strong and effective nonprofit organizations:
Direct Service is CA's core program. On a one-on-one
basis, volunteers assist small and medium size groups to develop
revised and/or computerized accounting systems. They assist in budgeting,
payroll, and almost any other financial management issue.

Community
Accountants on Boards and Commitees |
|
Community Accountants on Boards and Committees is a board referral
program. Nonprofit boards apply to CA for financial management
professionals who will join their board and or finance committee
to provide oversight. Professionals are recruited and referred;
CA staff follows up until placement is complete.

Workshops
|
|
Workshops are provided upon request of a nonprofit co-sponsor
for a fee of $50 per presentation hour. The requesting nonprofit
notifies the workshop participants and arranges for the workshop
space. Almost any financial management subject can be addressed. |

Ask
an Accountant |
|
Ask an Accountant is a hotline for nonprofit organizations that
need an accountant for quick answers to one or two questions.
Staff screens calls to CA office, and appropriate volunteers
are put in phone contact with the nonprofit.

Accountants Referrals |
|
Community Accountants Referrals clientscan fill out CA's online
form or call looking for qualified accountants and CA will
refer the clients to technical assistance providers.
